WILD KITE BREWERY BEIJING HUTONG

Wild Kite is a brewery and pub in the Hutongs of Beijing. Founded by three friends, who have high ambitions about the quality of their products, but wanted their space to be clean-cut and playful. 

The resulting design is farily simple, approachable and cozy. The open ceiling is accented by lightning-like lights, that evoke comicbooks, and sprinkled with kites. The kites are handmade by a artisanal kite-maker, but kept in black and white, to achieve the reduces colour scheme of greys (concrete and steel) black, white and blue.

Contrasting with the generally cool surface materials, the furniture and bar counter in oak bring warmth to the areas closest to the clients’ touch.
